Our Mission

At Egypt Cares Family Foundation, we believe that family IS the foundation. A stronger family leads to a stronger village and community for all. Our mission is to enrich the family structure as a whole. Spiritually based, the Egypt Cares Family Foundation aims to provide resources and motivation that support families on their journey to financial literacy, health awareness, higher education and successful communication within the family unit. The foundation will provide workshops, seminars, scholarships and community outreach programs designed to foment stronger families. With the opportunity to serve the tri-state area we look forward to making a significant difference and touching as many lives as possible.


Carol Frazer

Executive Director

In addition to being a philanthropist and entrepreneur, Carol is also founder of Flourish & Bloom Entertainment, a management agency for celebrity non-profits. She has succesfully managed the Board of Directors of the Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes Foundation, Usher's New Look Foundation New York and currently serves as Executive Director of Egypt Cares Family Foundation.

Carol is a proud supporter of UNICEF, member of the Steering committee for VH1 Save the Music, and serves on the Advisory board for the National Museum of Hip Hop, Kid Power Exchange Conference and the Reginald F. Lewis Billionaire Torch Awards.

Carol has been the recipient of Tiffany & Company's and SWI Consulting "Impact Player Award" for her charitable contributions, nominee to the Turner Broadcasting "Heiskell Community Service Award", her alma mater Lousiana State University invited her as a panelist for "Champions in their Fields: Alumni who have taken their education to new heights", and The National Urban League Young Professionals of New York invited her to address their membership as "The Next Generation of Leadership in the African American Community: Lifting as we climb".

She holds a Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University in Mass Communications and Political Science, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Mercer University. Proud alumni of the United Nations Worldview Institute Executive Leadership program.

Amber Noble-Garland

Advisory Board Director & Chair

An impressive, young entrepreneur who has amassed an outstanding list of credentials and achievements over her 20 year business career; Talent Manager, Marketer, Restauranteur, Real Estate Expert, Motivational Speaker, Mentor and Author are among the hats she wears.

This exceptional former marketing executive and product manager for Def Jam Records used her marketing savvy to help develop and further propel the careers of internationally renowned stars, global icons and amazing new artists. Prior to Def Jam and the subsequent marketing consulting services she provided at Universal/Motown Records, Amber spent over a decade working as a marketing & promotion director and syndicated morning show producer in top radio and television markets throughout the U.S. Her former employers have included Radio One, Beasley Broadcasting, Evergreen Broadcasting, AM/FM Broadcasting and ABC/Disney.

Today Amber is the helm of her own talent management and consulting firm, I For Talent LLC. In addition, she is fractional partner in "Delta’s," a popular upscale southern cuisine restaurant brand with a location in NJ and NC. She has also made a name for herself as a real estate investor and top-producing real estate broker, having negotiated over $20 million in transactions since 2007. Her passion for educating people about the importance of home ownership and her desire to help others understand the wealth-building process are what fuels her love for real estate.

Kristen Cooper

Kristen began her career working at MTV and now works at 107.5 WBLS in addition to being a contributor on EgyptSaidSo.com. She is currently the executive secretary for Egypt Cares Family Foundation as well as Egypt's Executive Assistant and Assistant Editor for Egyptsaidso.com.

Kristen is a community advocate, dedicating much of her personal time to philanthropy. She's worked with tri-state area youth educating them on AIDS Awareness; volunteers at local soup kitchens; and is currently an active member of the Make A Wish Foundation. She is a proud graduate of Sacred Heart University’s Media Studies Program. Kristen believes that, "Every action in our lives touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity."

Dr. Catrise Austin

Dr. Catrise Austin is a trailblazing expert in the field of dentistry. She is the author of a new book “5 Steps to the Hollywood A-List Smile”, professional speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of VIP Smiles-a modern dental practice in New York City and now also Los Angeles California.

Best known as the “Dentist to the Stars”, but beyond the celebrated elite, Dr. Austin’s true goal is to empower and educate ALL about the importance of dental health as she believes that the benefits of dentistry can not only make you look and feel better, but now studies show that it can help save your life and live longer. In 2009, Dr. Austin made history as the first private dentist in the nation to offer HIV testing to patients during routine dental care. Now Dr. Austin’s clients not only leave knowing their dental health status, but also their HIV status!

Austin is an award-winning dentist and columnist who has solidified her reputation in her field with national radio as well as national TV appearances on The Discovery Health Channel, “Today Show”, “Good Morning America,” among others.

Ash Cash

Ash’Cash is a Business Consultant, Motivational Speaker, Personal Finance Expert and the author of Mind Right, Money Right: 10 Laws of Financial Freedom.

With more than ten years of banking experience, Ash worked his way through the ranks from teller to personal banker, private banker & branch manager. He was VP at the largest financial institution in the world (JP Morgan Chase Bank) at the age of twenty-four. In his career he managed a book of 400 mass affluent clients with assets ranging from $100K-$22MM, coached and trained over 100 sales professionals, opened and managed six branches and brought in almost $90MM in deposits.

Ash is also the President and CEO of Ash Cash Management Group, LLC (www.AshCashMgmt.com) a business management and consultant firm that specializes in business and personal financial management services for established and up-and-coming professionals. From start-ups to fortune 500’s, Entertainment to Corporate America, ACMG aims to guide businesses to help them create the success they deserve. Precious L. Knight

An NYU graduate, Precious worked as a Financial Advisor for MetLife then moved on to Wall Street and worked as a securities trader for Guardian Life/Park Avenue Securities. In early 2002 she switched gears and focused more on the health insurance industry, having worked as an Account manager for Horizon Blue Cross of NJ and later as an Account Executive for Emerson Reid.

Feeling like it was time to take a leap of faith, Precious forged on to open her own Brokerage Agency. On November 5th, 2009 Knight Insurance Consulting Group was formed. Knight Insurance Consulting Group is a small grass roots company focused on helping residents in the community. The mission of KICG is to educate each customer, provide outstanding customer service, while remaining a small boutique operation.

Precious dedicated her spare time to enhancing the lives of residents living in Newark’s Central Ward through several initiatives including: financial literacy workshops, community clean up, neighborhood watch, child development workshops and other family related activities.

Alturrick Kenney

Alturrick, a graduate of Howard University and product of Newark Public Schools, has contributed to the success of various organizations aligned with government and educational fields. With an exemplary work history in administrative and legislative government, grant writing, fundraising, post secondary education, community engagement, effective communication and proven team leadership, Alturrick is skilled at effectively providing direction, support and leadership in public service, education and has a solid government foundation.

He is an elected member of Newark Public School Advisory Board, the largest school system in the State of New Jersey, serving 39,000 students, 4,200 staff and a budget exceeding $900M. He is the Chair of the Facility committee, Vice Chair of Personnel and member of the Finance committee. He worked as the National High School Outreach Coordinator for Education Affiliates and Fortis Institute.

Prior to, he served as a consultant for CREST Community Development Corporation (CDC), a board member of Quest Community Vibrations, and as Deputy Mayor for the City of Newark, one of the youngest in the State of New Jersey and in the history of the City of Newark. In this role, Alturrick played a key role in securing money from the New York/New Jersey Port Authority and negotiating a lease agreement for the Prudential Arena resulting in the creation of 500 current and 1000 potential jobs.

Michelle “Breeze” Johnson

Michelle is currently the Senior Manager of Programming & Talent Relations for Music Choice, and one of the leading female executives in the music industry. Throughout her television and radio career, she’s been constantly building and maintaining executive relationships in the entertainment industry, as well as establishing strong talent relationships with many emerging & superstar music artists and their teams (record labels, artist management, top talent agencies, publicists, etc).

Formally Senior Director of Music Programming for VH1 & VH1 Soul, Breeze’s primary role was to oversee, implement and execute the music programming strategy on the network. In addition, Breeze was responsible for maintaining the VH1 Soul brand, while programming and project managing new series/shows, artist initiatives and specials including: SoulStage, Soul Cities, Soul Story, Vh1 Soul Vibe Awards Special, Vh1 Soul You Oughta Know campaign, ect. Prior to becoming Senior Director, Breeze served as Music Programming Manager for VH1, where she was responsible for executing the programming strategy on various video-based shows such as the Vh1 Top 20 Video Countdown and Mo’ VH1. Breeze has an extensive background in music programming and talent relations that stretches from her former days in radio to her current position in music television.

Additionally, Johnson has received many accolades in her career including being featured in the June 2007 issue of Essence magazine’s “20 Most Influential People In Black Music” as the “GOT NEXT” Network Executive and winning the 2002 R&B AIR Competition. She placed #1 nationally amongst a veritable who’s who of radio and television experts in the field of mainstream urban music.

Jean Alerte

At a very early age, Jean began expanding his work experiences ranging from producing shows, marketing, management and entrepreneurship. Jean was part of DECA, Delta Epsilon Chi Activities. His early work career coupled with family role models and corporate mentors has molded Jean into a management and marketing guru in his own right.

Jean was introduced to an eventual Promotion/Entertainment advisor, who genuinely instilled in him the principles of accountability, morals, and integrity, which Jean incorporates into all of his business ventures. Jean's motto is “Always do right”.

Jean has compiled a list of accomplishments that any company would be proud of and that span throughout many industries from real estate to sports and artist management. He has landed accounts with a host of venues in the New York Metropolitan area, which allowed him to successfully produce and manage successful events for entertainers and politicians.

Lamonda Williams

For more than half a decade Lamonda held key roles as a member of the programming brain trust at Music Choice. This former Director of Urban & Latin Programming for Music Choice oversaw the urban and Latin video and audio content for Music Choice’s free On Demand network, its music channels, its free online music service, and its subscription service for cell phones. She developed and oversaw the creation of compelling Original music shows, in addition to managing the video and audio music programming that has made Music Choice’s urban content the network’s most popular music format. She worked closely with record labels, artists and their managers, and industry representatives to demonstrate the power of Music Choice to expose both emerging and established artists to millions of consumers via their televisions, online, and cell phones.

In addition to earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Southern California and a Master of Journalism degree from Temple University, Lamonda has received several industry awards recognizing her achievements, including NABFEME’s 2005 recipient of their “Executive Power Mover of the Year” award, R&R Magazine’s “2003 PD on the Rise”, “2002 Gavin PD of the Year”, and “2000 Billboard Personality of the Year”.

Community service is a very important part of Lamonda’s life. She is a board member and Chair of the Development Committee for the Aby Fund, an organization dedicated to eradicating poverty in Ethiopia through the empowerment of coffee farmers. Lamonda volunteers to feed the homeless with Jersey Cares’ Hunger Helpers program, and she devotes her time as a leader in the “Sister Circle” women’s ministry for her church.

Syreta J. Oglesby

When you think of creative, resourceful, and promising young forces in the field of Public Relations, Syreta J. Oglesby’s name should come to mind right away! A results driven publicist with a reputation for “making it happening” and creating strategic partnerships, Syreta has earned the respect of her peers and clients over her nearly decade-long career in the entertainment business.

As Founder & Principal of her PR & Communications firm, Syreta has amassed a diverse and accomplished roster of clients. Prior to launching her own company, Syreta played an integral role in the development of boutique PR upstart theT3 Agency (now known as The Purple Agency). She can also count Lifestyle PR & Marketing Consultant to Universal Motown Records, Merchandising Representative for Foot Locker’s corporate division and Event Planning Consultant to the Urban League as three of her many impressive career credits.

Philanthrophy, sisterhood and a sense of community are also very important to this Spellman graduate. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and WEEN (Women In Entertainment Empowerment Network) are among the non-profit organizations Syreta lovingly devotes her time and talents to.

Larry Ossei-Mensah

a.k.a Young Global is an advertising and entertainment veteran whose stints at Sony Music, ClearChannel, Fox TV and Carat Media have been the backdrop for a dynamic career. Since establishing himself as an industry connector, Ossei-Mensah has honed his knack for spotting trends and storytelling to emerge as a prolific documentarian of art, culture and music. Having penned articles for Essence, Centric/BET, AOL BVX and Arise Magazine, Ossei-Mensah aims to use his multimedia platform as a forum to disrupt status quo and inspire others to “get out their dreams”

Kay Fowler

Kay Fowler is a seasoned telecommunications professional, and has worked for Verizon and its predecessor companies for over 14 years. In February 2002 Ms. Fowler was named Director of External Affairs for Verizon Delaware. In this capacity she has been responsible for planning, oversight and coordination of Verizon external affairs activities including community relations, volunteerism and direction of the Verizon Foundation programs within Delaware.

Kay is committed to advocating strategic alliances to enable Verizon to make smart social investments. She has also served on the boards of the Better Business Bureau, Saint Francis Hospital Foundation, Rotary Club of Wilmington West, and she has served as Commissioner for the New Castle County Diversity Commission.

Kay is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds certificates in Project Management and Corporate Community Relations.

Dana Hill

Dana Hill is the President and Founder of Divine Marketing Group, a boutique public relations, strategic marketing, special events, and luxury gifting agency specializing in fashion, jewelry, beauty and lifestyle brands. She brings over 15 years of public relations, marketing and special events experience to Divine Marketing Group. She began her career in the fashion industry as an Assistant Market Editor in the fashion department at Vogue Magazine, and later moved to Harper's Bazaar Magazine as an Assistant Fashion Editor. Dana transitioned into public relations and marketing when she headed up the PR/Marketing Department for Phat Farm for over 5 years and was instrumental in the launch of the Baby Phat brand. As Vice President of Marketing & PR for Phat Farm, and later as Vice President of Marketing for Rocawear in and Eve's clothing line Fetish, she designed and implemented numerous integrated marketing, PR, event, and advertising programs that increased brand visibility, market presence and sales.

Dana’s experience outside of the fashion industry includes serving as Senior Director of Artist Development at Arista Records, where she gained invaluable entertainment industry experience. She also spearheaded the development of Global Advertising 1st’s PR Department, a marketing and advertising firm in the DC metro area. She was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the PR and Marketing Department including media outreach, strategic partnerships and developing communications plans for its clients in the government, healthcare, non-profits, hospitality, and consumer products sectors.

Dana received a BBA degree in Marketing from the American College in London where she graduated magna cum laude. In 2002, Dana was featured in HONEY Magazine as one of “25 Women Making it Happen”.

Elle Castro

Over the past 8 years, Elle's stories have been published in print, on the Internet and over radio airwaves. Her journalism resume includes powerhouses such as King, Scratch, Vibe.com, AllHipHop.com, Sohh.com, digital music distribution website 101D.com and The Inside Connection. She has also delved into radio writing and producing a daily syndicated service ("The Inside Word") for Clear Channel's Premiere Radio Networks; where she also became the talent booker for Big Tigger's syndicated radio show, Live in The Den.

Yet this is only one side of the driven scribe. When Elle does not have pen in hand, she spends her time serving her community. As an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for the past 12 years, giving back to the community is second nature for Elle. Additionally, she has been on the National Planning Committee for WEEN (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network) for the past 3 years, where she works very closely with young girls seeking careers in the music and entertainment industries.

Currently, Elle is the Editor-At-Large for AllHipHop.com, a senior writer for EgyptSaidSo.com, and the President and Founder of Torch Media Group, a consultant firm specializing in various areas in the entertainment industry.

Tai Beauchamp

Tai Beauchamp is the Founder and President of The BluePrint Group, LLC, a communications and marketing consulting firm that specializes in bridging the gap between philanthropy and the fashion, beauty, media and entertainment fields. By trade, she is a veteran beauty journalist and editor, known for her savvy sense of style and ability to deliver of-the-moment, consumer-friendly tips. By passion, Tai is an entrepreneur and champion for causes, most of them aimed toward empowering women, youth, and celebrating a new generation of philanthropists.

Tai began her editorial career at Good Housekeeping and Harper’s Bazaar magazines more than 12 years ago and served as an editor at titles including O, The Oprah Magazine, Suede, Seventeen and VIBE Vixen. Tai was also a style contributor to women s mega-site ivillage.com. She appears regularly on TV and has been seen on The Today Show, Good Day New York, The Style Network, BET, CNN, The CW, TV One, ABC, and The Wendy Williams Show and is frequently quoted in the media. She has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine, Essence, and Star magazines.

Today, in addition to running The BluePrint Group, Ms. Beauchamp volunteers as a “Big Sister” with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson and Union Counties and mentors other young women. She serves on the board of Saint Vincent Academy (Newark, NJ), The New Jersey Performance Arts Center Women’s Board of Trustees, and development committee of New York City’s Women In Need.

Dawn Hill

Dawn has been featured in New York Times as "One To Watch." This multi-media entertainment executive is also the local producer of the Yolanda Adams Morning Show on 1190 WLIB-AM and voice over talent for 107.5 WBLS New York. A detroit native and graduate of Howard University, Dawn has had the pleasure of working with several major media companies including BET Networks, XM Satellite Network, and Ketchum Public Relations, just to name a few.

Dawn is the President/CEO of Dawn Dai Enterprises and has leveraged her blossoming career in communications to add inspirational speaker to her repertoire. Dawn seeks to draw from her own life experiences and encourage others to 'speak life' in all they do. Her message is 'never be afraid to dream.'

Chris Kazi Rolle

Chris Kazi Rolle is an artist, social entrepreneur and relationship enthusiast. A sought after speaker, Kazi travels nationally and internationally, performing, exhibiting and lecturing year round.

Nicknamed The Convo Starter, Kazi is the architect behind several innovative social ventures designed to create conversations for change, including "The Hip Hop Project," an award winning, arts education organization that uses Hip Hop, popular culture mentorship to teach young people essential life skills; and "Together Apart," a relationship academy providing educational events, media, products and services that empower relationships.

As a philanthropist, in 2001, he co-founded A.P.E.X. a non-profit organization that hosts monthly college preparation workshops which culminate in week-long Historically Black Colleges and University tour from New York City to Atlanta. Kazi has been featured on VH1, CNN, CBS and The Oprah Winfrey Show in a segment called "People Using Their Lives". Kazi's work and inspiring life story is the focus of the feature length film entitled, "The Hip Hop Project", executive produced by Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah.
