Our Mission

At Egypt Cares Family Foundation, we believe that family IS the foundation. A stronger family leads to a stronger village and community for all. Our mission is to enrich the family structure as a whole. Spiritually based, the Egypt Cares Family Foundation aims to provide resources and motivation that support families on their journey to financial literacy, health awareness, higher education and successful communication within the family unit. The foundation will provide workshops, seminars, scholarships and community outreach programs designed to foment stronger families. With the opportunity to serve the tri-state area we look forward to making a significant difference and touching as many lives as possible.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS


Egypt Sherrod

Founder

Egypt Sherrod is a highly acclaimed multi-media personality, real estate entrepreneur, and author, with an award winning television and radio career that has spanned 20-years. In addition to being known as the energetic and endearing host of HGTV’s top rated series "Property Virgins", she has been a staple on the airwaves in New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Atlanta.


Egypt turned her talent for talk into a flair for flipping houses as the CEO of The Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group, a boutique real estate concierge company. The Atlanta based-Philadelphia native, graduated Temple University with a B.A. in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media.


Egypt knows her family’s support and mentorship has played a huge role in her success in the real estate industry and beyond. She holds her spirituality in high regard, and knew she needed to create an outlet to give back. The Egypt Cares Family Foundation allows Egypt to offer inspiring and constructive lectures, boot camps and seminars to others. The main focus of the organization is to educate both men and women about the importance of wealth preservation and home ownership. The foundation’s work has been very successful, earning her many praises including the Mission Award from WEEN (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network) and several Proclamations from Brooklyn President Marty Markowitz for her “Egypt Cares Give Back Tour,” an annual coat and toy drive. Egypt has also received the Humanitarian Citation from the Borough of New York, State Assembly Citation as a Humanitarian and Community Advocate, as well as the New York City Council Citation for Community Service.


Add devoted mother and wife to her many accolades and it’s fair to say that Egypt takes being a prolific, multitasking entrepreneur in her stride.



Kimberly Byer-Clark

Executive Director

Kimberly Byer-Clark is also the proud owner of KDuJour Events, a boutique event planning and consulting firm as well as the owner of the local events blog Social Butterfly ATL.


Previously, Kim worked as a freelance conference producer with iGlobal Forum and The Conference Board. There she develops and produces workshops & conferences in the Corporate Leadership, institutional investor, hedge fund, and private equity space. From 2009-2012, Kim served as the Director of Programs and Director of Special Events for the NBMBAA Atlanta Chapter where she was responsible for planning, organizing and facilitating the chapter’s scheduled networking events, scholarship luncheon, and holiday soiree. Kim currently serves as the co-chair for the NBMBAA 36th Annual Conference Welcome Extravaganza.


Kim is also a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter and has been featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta in 2012 & 2014.


She is a proud graduate of Howard University, B.A. Political Science. Kim went on to receive her paralegal certificate from St. John’s University. She has also taken additional financial courses at New York University.



Amber Noble-Garland

Chair

Amber Noble Garland is an impressive renaissance woman and serial entrepreneur under the age of 40 who has amassed an outstanding list of achievements over her nearly 25 year entertainment and media business career; Visionary, Career Transition & Empowerment Coach, Talent Manager, Brand Strategist, Marketer, Real Estate Expert, Speaker, Author and TV Producer are among the hats she wears.


From a talent management perspective, Amber has played a key role in the careers of household names such as Egypt Sherrod, Laila Ali and Idris Elba.


Utilizing her veteran business “know-how” this former Def Jam Records executive who for 6+ years was an integral figure in the brand marketing Jay-Z, LL Cool J and Patti LaBelle entered the deal-making side of the real estate business in 2007 in the midst of the recession with a “winner takes all” strategic plan to achieve big success at an accelerated pace. As fate would have it Amber quickly branded herself as a top-producing agent, won countless awards and has negotiated the sale of several millions of dollars in real estate transactions. In 2014, Amber and her client/business partner/best friend of 20 years, Egypt Sherrod, formed The Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group LLC, a joint venture they co-own.


A married mother of one toddler, Amber enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, Leah, and her husband, Wesley. She is also the founder of the “Noble Acts Of Kindness” (NAOK) charitable initiative that launched in 2015.



Kristen Cooper

Secretary

Kristen Cooper is currently the executive secretary for Egypt Cares Family Foundation as well as Egypt's Executive Assistant and Assistant Editor for Egyptsaidso.com.


Kristen is a community advocate, dedicating much of her personal time to philanthropy. She's worked with NY tri-state area youth educating them on AIDS Awareness as well as Atlanta youth on believing in themselves, having goals and following their dreams. She is a proud 2004 graduate of Sacred Heart University’s Media Studies Program. She believes that, "Every action in our lives touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity."
